Full Planning or “The Bespoke” package is our most comprehensive package, where we quote, research, and help with the selection of all of your vendors. All couples have to do is approve the proposals, sign and pay deposits. Later we start working on the execution of those foundational pieces and bringing the event to life. 

Partial Planning or “The Tailored” is a more collaborative process, where we are there to coach & guide you through the foundational stage of wedding planning and later, lead the preparation of all of the final materials to ensure the execution is pristine. 

Finally, Coordination, which is our “The Hallmark” and “The Essentials” packages focus on just the execution. With these packages, the foundations of the wedding are done and we’re just here to help bring your vision to life. 

How far you book us really depends on preference, but our recommendation is the following: 

• For ‘The Bespoke’ book us between 18 - 20 months before the wedding

• For ‘The Tailored’ book us between 12 - 15 months before the wedding

• For ‘The Hallmark” book us 8 - 12 months before the wedding

• For ‘The Essentials’ book us 4 - 8 months before the wedding

At Velada we understand that the wedding planning process looks really different for everyone, so we do not put limits on the amount of calls or we don’t set a specific frequency that’s one-size fits all. Instead, we give recommendations based on where we’re at in the process and what we still need to get done. 

Yes! We require a 30% non-refundable retainer due at the time of signing the contract. After that, we require 30% 60 days before the wedding and the final 40% 30 days before the wedding.

Velada Events is proud to service the entire East Coast and our owner’s home island of Puerto Rico. Travel fees may apply if the Lead Planner, Lead Coordinator, or Associates need to travel more than two hours by car from Northeast DC.
